Welcome to the MGH Child Resiliency Program
The Child Resiliency Program is a research-validated stress management program in the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital. This program draws from well-established, evidence-based interventions to manage stress and build resilience in children, adolescents and young adults. CRP staff deliver our Resilient Youth Program directly to students in educational groups and offers training to the clinicians, educators, parents, guardians, and community stakeholders who support them. During these sessions, BHI educators and clinicians discuss physical and cognitive responses to stress and provide opportunities to develop and practice self-care and resiliency skills to buffer stress and improve overall health and well-being.
Your child will learn:
- How stress affects thoughts and feelings
- Techniques to stay calm in stressful situations
- Strategies for managing stress and staying calm during testing administration
- Meditation methods that can reduce symptoms and improve physical health, such as deep breathing, mindfulness and imagery
- How to foster positive thoughts and attitudes
- How to develop long-lasting positive habits that can build personal resiliency
- Experience with digital health devices to help children with body awareness
